Oh my god.

I'm planning a trip to japan in 2022 with my girlfriend. The idea is that we work all through 2021, save up money and then go to Japan via Workaway, a network that lets employers find travellers to do light work, often socialising, for food and a room. So we're aiming to stay in japan for the better part of a year, and see the country and really experience it. It's been a huge dream of mine since I was a kid, being a weeb and all. I'm taking Japanese in school at the moment, so I'm going all in for this. I've been in a crazy bubble the past week, studying japanese daily and watching vlogs, movies, listening to music, exploring on google maps, checking out bike routes and villages and stuff. It's my life goal and I'm working so hard for it to be real!

I would like to go to all 50 states, and I’ve already been to about half of them. I really like visiting the states and different areas, and there’s some really cool attractions there. I would also include getting more of a feel for the states which I had previously just passed through (E.g. in an airport). I feel like my next option is Hawaii, because I’m the only one in my family that hasn’t gone and apparently it’s fantastic. I’d also like to visit Spain again, because it was fantastic the first time I was there, and I miss using my Spanish. The accessibility is really bad though, so I would have to go with someone. I also miss Costa Rica, but the country is so poor I’d rather not go back. Instead I would like to find a substitute in the United States, but I haven’t found that yet.

Mhm let's see.

*Pulls a list*

First of all, assuming I'm ultra rich and stuff, I'd like to go to a Comic Con. I've heard some pretty good things about then and let's be honest, it's like the Mecca for all nerds around the world, so I have a moral duty to make my pilgrimage over there at least once in my life :D.

Next, I kinda want to go see several cities, including but not limited to, London, Athens and Tokyo. I'm a sucker for history and those places could fill my curiosity for a while.

If I could choose only one place  to visit, it would be France.

My interest was captured as a kid when we studied French at school.

Things I'd love to see:

  • Eiffel Tower
  • Louvre Museum
  • Palace of Versailles
  • Notre-Dame Cathedral
  • Mont Saint-Michel
  • Mont Blanc
  • Carcossonne
  • Brittany
  • Arc de Triomphe

And heaps more places.

Well tbh I'd love to travel the world and by that I don't mean just as tourists, yeah that's great too but i really wanna live in different countries and experience life there. From UK to Japan to Afghanistan to Turkey I want to travel everywhere. I wanna learn all these different languages and listen to local bands, have local food, wear the local fashion.

In my head I've a very romantisiced version of traveling the world, ofc I don't know all the hardships that come with that but I think whatever the challenges maybe it'll all be worth it.

I follow these travel vloggers on YouTube and basically try to learn as much as I can about different places from their videos.

I’d love to visit archaeological sites, regardless of where they are in the world. Places where people don’t know about and study the findings and strata data in peace.

But in more realistic terms, I’d love to visit Europe. Anywhere in Europe, really. I want to taste new cuisines and snap architecture!

Canada because it looks beautiful and who wouln't want to see the Rocky Mountains?

Canada is a lovely place. I lived in Vancouver for 5 years and it’s truly stunning. Their parks and beaches are gorgeous. Banff National Park is a gem!

Adding this to the list! Istanbul, Turkey. Great sights and sites, history, culture, and food! One of the excursions if love to do is get on the hot hair balloon. I’d that’s not possible, visit archaeological sites. Mmm drool.

I’d love to go to India, Vietnam and Thailand! Especially India.

I am still super keen on North America as well. South America would also be sweet but that place is super expensive for an Australian to get too.

I happen to live in one of those countries when you're keen on visiting!

I think I'm interesting in visiting Eastern Europe as a whole. I want to know how it is over there. I want to see something that's not Asian for a bit.

Croatia. Saw travel vlogs on it and it's definitely a place I'd love to visit. Oddly enough, it's cheaper for me to go there than Egypt like whaaaat.

I was there in 2013, Croatia was great! Plitvica Lakes are just wonderful, as well as ancient Roman streets of Split, and beautiful town of Trogir. I haven't seen Dubrovnik though, people say it's super gorgeous. The only thing that spoiled my impressions was weather: it reached +40°C most of the days, and my hotel didn't have air conditioning, so this sucked greatly. Also the sea was pretty cold so it was impossible to stay in water for too long in attempts to escape this heat.

Ah, Split! I saw so many vlogs on it and it’s definitely on my radar but I’ve never heard of Trogir. Gotta check that out! Drats, sucks that you couldn’t fully enjoy your time there due to the lack of ac. Still, I’d love to visit Croatia and experience new things.
