Board Moderator Nirianne Posted May 18, 2018 Board Moderator Report Share Posted May 18, 2018 As the title suggests; do you have a pet peeve? One of my top pet peeves is becoming triggered when I see improper spelling usage. Something such as, "No, I don't m8. WBU? Let's get 2gether." I get even more triggered when I see such texts in stories. I don't mind if it's used in chat language; I do hella mind when it's in other mediums. Argh! Administrator AquilaTempestas Posted May 18, 2018 Administrator Report Share Posted May 18, 2018 People using text language in fanfiction. Even if the character is sending a text message. Drives me crazy. I also get really annoyed when people throw cigarette butts on the ground. Oh and people who spit in public. Gross. Nirianne, Malgelir and Dementor 3 Quote Link to comment

I HATE it when people spit in public. It always happens when I'm about to walk in that said direction! The cigarette one is terrible, too. Ick! I hate it when people don't shower but instead use cologne to mask their body stench. I mean, WTF?! Disgusting to the extreme. Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
Board Moderator Nirianne Posted May 23, 2018 Author Board Moderator Report Share Posted May 23, 2018 Another pet peeve I have is when people ask me for chunks of money. I don't like giving it out, even if I know it'll be returned. I don't like it. I especially dislike it when it's in big chunks. Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
Board Moderator Nirianne Posted June 1, 2018 Author Board Moderator Report Share Posted June 1, 2018 Continuing the pet peeve thread, I'm not too fond of people talking/whispering in movies. I had that happen when I watched Doctor Strange with a friend. The couple next to me acted like jerks, like they've never seen a movie before. In the end, I didn't say anything, but I annoyingly scratched the armrest and possessed it till the movie was over. When it was, I walked by them and said the C word in Thai. Sakura Alexia
One of mine since I just saw something on the topic, something my parents used to do all the time was telling everyone that I was good at drawing stuff and pretended me to show off my ugly stuff to everyone they invited over, and those people asking the most annoying things about them too. Come on, its my stuff, I decide who gets to see it if I want to. Malgelir and Nirianne 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Malgelir
Having someone watch me do something. This is especially prevalent when I write as I irrationally feel I'm being judged and they are reading what I am writing. Also, when an examiner stands behind you in an exam. Nebula Fox
Carping criticism. I can't stand it. Makes me want to smack someone with a hot iron skillet. Stagnant water in a sink... with dishes in it. Like, eww. My most personal pet peeve is when my boyfriend uses the same communication skills he uses for his parents with me. He has to repeat himself three or four times because they can't hear well... so he automatically does it. When he does it to me, I hear him and I acknowledge him but he SAYS IT AGAIN. I get very angry when he does this. I'm training him though. There is more to be done. I have others but I choose not to disclose them at this point in time. Board Moderator Nirianne Posted September 2, 2018 Author Board Moderator Report Share Posted September 2, 2018 I don't appreciate spitting on the streets. It's disgusting. There's a lot of that here, and boy, it's like maneuvering through landmines. Gross. Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
Hikari
For me, one of the top ones is when students just stand in the middle of the hallway or walk super slow. Walking super slow, ok, I can understand that (no matter how annoyed I get). But really? Standing in the middle of the hallway? So that no one can get past? That’s just rude. People have places to be, and what reason do they have to be in the middle? They can go against the wall at least, where they’re supposed to wait anyways if they’re waiting for their teacher to come. Also, someone watching me work. It’s just... I can feel the pressure and judgment. I can FEEL the eyes watching me lol Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
Board Moderator Wizarmonfan Posted September 2, 2018 Board Moderator Report Share Posted September 2, 2018 Walking slow or not moving to one side of the footpath are mine. Oh and also, mothers who don't quieten their whinging kids. Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment

onewiththewheels
People who don't listen to someone even when there's logic. *Glares at some of my relatives.* Also, hypochondriacs. I have a few of them is relatives, and as someone who has a disability and some other legitimate medical conditions and has struggled with them for most of my life, it's downright offensive when they make a big deal out of their fake illnesses… Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
onewiththewheels
Just had one today that happened… People who leave random messages on my phone, even though my voicemail message makes it clear who I am and they should realize they're calling the wrong number… And I'm not talking about spam, but legitimate messages to other people… Not only is it annoying, but I also sincerely hope that the message gets to whoever it was supposed to… Malgelir 1 Quote Link to comment
